Hi! ~
I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself. My name is Katie, and I’m the real estate agent and interior designer here at BriKat Homes.
My longtime passion is design and over a decade ago I went to school for residential interior design. Graduating right when the “big crash” happened no one was hiring and I jumped right into motherhood with my first son. I shifted gears after I had him, and while I was a stay-at-home mom, I decided I wanted to go back to school. I was intrigued with the dynamics of family systems and generational traumas and wanted to help families break the cycle for themselves and their children.
I loved working with families, but honestly I was feeling burnt out. I was largely involved with at-risk families and it was hard for me to leave my work at work and not bring it home with me.
I had my second son, 9 years later and knew I wanted to be home again in his early years like I was with my first. I quickly realized that I missed working and serving others and Brian and I had talked big dreams about having our own business in years before. With my love for design and real estate and his love for construction and building we decided to take messy action working behind the scenes and quickly things fell into place!
When the time was right, we announced BriKat Homes! Our dreams and talks of building and renovating for others, designing and real estate was now a reality! And the best part is knowing that Brian and I are both doing what we love! Working together and building our client’s vision and dreams for their life and families!
